Chinese horoscope 2016: the Monkey year’s forecast for the Snake. 3

The Yang Fire Monkey year started on the 4th of February for the solar calendar: the 8th of February is for the lunar start. It is therefore the right time to see what the year has in store for your sign of birth, based on the Chinese Zodiac. In this series of 12 articles I will explore with you the forecast and predictions that are based on your birth sign for your 2016 horoscope. This is different from analyzing your complete Bazi.

For the 12 Signs of Chinese astrology, it is a very different year from 2015 that was the Yin Wood Goat year. While 2015 was all about Earth and Wood Elements, 2016 is a clash between Fire, Metal and Water. These energies represent money opportunities for some and good prospect for single people of some signs. For others, it is all about professional changes and duties and not a very fun year. Let’s see what the situation is sign by sign.

Before reading your predictions, keep in mind that the animal of your year is not the whole picture. Your full chart can balance those influences and in some case reverse them or make them worse. In this article, the years refer to the Chinese ones. So 2016 = 4^th of February 2016 to the 3^rd of February 2017.

The Snake

While the Rat sign is the great winner of this year, along with the Dragon, and while the Tigers might have a difficult year, the Snake sign is in a unique position.

This year can really go both ways for you and push you to evolve. You should experience a lot of new things in 2016 that will have you re-evaluate your life vision and your opinion on yourself. If you like safety and quiet years, 2016 will not be your cup of tea. If however you are ready for this transformation and to go with the flow of it, you will have a most spiritual year. You would then be by the end of 2016 a new person. It is a karmic year, which will be very exciting for some Snakes and more challenging for others. Let go, do not be control freaks, and go for an adventure Snakes…

Love

It is a year full of surprises in this area of your life. If you are in a couple, it all depends how it went up to now. If you have difficulties with your partner, you might both decide that it’s not worth fixing what can’t be. You could however win your partner back as well, if you are willing to really work on yourself and be humble. On the other hand, couples with a happy relationship might experiences good surprises: a marriage proposal, the coming of one of those little brat that screams in a plane when you are stuck next to them for a 6 hours flight a lovely kid, a house move…Anything is possible! For single people, the year blows hot and cold. A meeting is possible, but in circumstances or with someone whom will make you feel like a fish out of water…It is a year during which it is advisable for you ton explore new horizons and life dynamics, and if your heart tells you to go there but your brain no, listen to your heart…Whatever the outcome might be, it should be an interesting evolution for you Snake.

Work

It is really a domain in which surprises could happen. A change of position, a promotion or even losing your job: here as well, a lot can happen. It is unlikely that nothing happens in your career this year. Even if you might go through a bit of a rough patch, you should eventually land on your feet (not easy, considering Snakes have none). The advice is to accept the challenges and the new path unfolding for you: if you want everything to remain the same, you will struggle. If you reinvent yourself you could, as a wise Snake, find your path and be well. It is excellent if you want to completely change your career or transition and you could suddenly find your true calling. Be careful with your finances: there will be both unexpected gains and expenses all year long. Put some on the side and don’t take your budget for granted. A house move or renovation could snowball into more expenses if you are too casual about it and do not prepare it in advance.

Wellbeing

In this domain, it is a make or break type of year. If you have a lifestyle that does not respect your mental and physical integrity, this year will remind you to take care of yourself and could even force you to do so. So don’t push it and adopt moderation in all things. You will have a tendency to not know your limits this year, like the Tiger and Monkey sign. Be careful with stimulants and recreational substances of all sort…Sleep more, don’t go too hard when exercising and eat correctly. If you want to drop weight and improve your lifestyle, it is a good year to do so but don’t be harsh on yourself. All physical effort that is too intense is not advised. Go for aquagym rather than a marathon then…Your mood will also be changing all the time. You need activities that ground you and relax your mind every week. In your spiritual development and understanding of the world you can actually make giant leaps this year. It is also an ideal year for big travel or for a year off.
