For the 12 Signs of Chinese astrology, it is a very different year from 2015 that was the Yin Wood Goat year. While 2015 was all about Earth and Wood Elements, 2016 is a clash between Fire, Metal and Water. These energies represent money opportunities for some and good prospect for single people of some signs. For others, it is all about professional changes and duties and not a very fun year. Let’s see what the situation is sign by sign.
Before reading your predictions, keep in mind that the animal of your year is not the whole picture. Your full chart can balance those influences and in some case reverse them or make them worse. The Monkey
Often, people think that the year of their birth animal is THEIR year…Astrologers, however, know better. The return of your sign for Chinese astrology is a karmic factor and usually brings a bit of a quarter/third/middle/two-third life crisis (cross what doesn’t apply). If you have worked on developing a virtuous karma by helping other during the 12 previous year of this full cycle, you should be fine. I however you have been narcissistic and individualistic, there could be a wake up call…All the domain of your life are actually targeted and like the Snake sign, you shall accept to work on yourself in 2016. It is an ideal year to take a break and see where you are heading to. What doesn’t work anymore shall be stopped, what works can carry on, and what or who doesn’t support you shall be cut off. Let’s see this in details.
Love
For love, it is a bit complicated for the Monkey sign. If you are in a couple, misunderstanding might occur. It is a year to reflect on it and make sure you are both on the same wavelength for the future. If it is not the case, remember that being too individualistic will not help you this year: do not prioritize your career over your marriage, for example. For single people, the Monkey year will bring new friends to you, rather than love. However, it is worth mentioning that the Fire Monkey year is a special Monkey due to its clash of Elements: Fire vs Metal and Water. That put a twist on it and some Monkey signs will actually meet, due to the clash: but it is tougher for couples who are experiencing difficulties. If you are single and wish to meet, go out, have fun and see people. Be on the safe side however, as mistake of judgment could have consequences on your health or lifestyle this year. If you are responsible, you can have your fun.
Work
At work, it is a risky year for Monkeys. Miscommunication or arguments can occur. It is less auspicious for negotiation and collaborations. Entrepreneurs do not change what works but look into details in what doesn’t this year. You have to look at the fine details and every aspect of your business this year. If you are an employee, it is a good time for some soul searching and to prepare a better future. For job hunting, expect to have to knock on many doors: but the Fire contained in this year will give you a bit of a push and some unexpected help. Financially, it is an unstable year with both gains and expenses and it is not easy to plan ahead. Be reactive but safe: caution is the main word here.
Wellbeing
It is obviously a year of introspection and maybe of a bit of a middle life crisis. Don’t be too harsh on yourself, but it is useful to see in which area you could improve or change what doesn’t work. Like with the Tiger or the Snake, you have a tendency to not be moderate enough in 2016 and it is exactly the opposite attitude that you should adopt. Eat a healthy diet, rest enough, and respect your limits: don’t force anything. Make peace with your body if necessary as this year you are not exactly in control and shall show some humility. Be cautious with intimacy to avoid bad surprises. Psychically, it can be an efficient year for psychoanalysis and self-development. Your spiritual side shall awaken and will help you with mood swings. Meditation is THE solution for you in 2016, along with creative therapies such as writing and doing art.
