Let’s start with the 12 signs of the Chinese zodiac = your year of birth. Remember that likewise, it is only 1/4 of your chart: the year Pillar. A Four Pillar Bazi chart is made of a year, month, day and time Pillar, not the year only.

- The Rats, as Water related animals who likes to move a lot, will feel blocked by all the Earth of this Dog month. However, if you can sit, relax and meditate, you could have great spiritual breakthrough this month that could take you in interesting directions. It can also be a good month to focus on friendship and generally to meet interesting people who will challenge but inform you thinking;
- The Oxen feel some competition this month. It is likely to be a challenging month, when you will confront and be confronted by other people. Diplomacy should prevail. At work, avoid getting stuck in a competitive mindset and try not to answer any provocation. Any Earth sign has more chance to make mistake of judgment during the Dog month, and so you should think before you take;
- The Tigers should have a good month; people come to you and you can have an interesting social life. It is also a good time to network and develop your business, if you have your own company. Generally people are willing to help you and it is a good time to ask for help and build some solid foundations. You can also communicate well at this time of the year;
- The Rabbits have a two-faced month. You might not get much out of this month in term of work and money; everything seems to ask for more efforts, be quite tedious, and generally the vibe is no pain, no gain. For flirts or love however, the atmosphere is quite romantic for you and you should have interesting opportunities to socialize, if not more. If you are settled, good time in friendship should prevail;
- The Dragons walk on eggs shells this month. A Dog month is never good news for you, and as an Earth sign you should be mindful of your words, actions and of their consequences this month. Think carefully before you speak; try to avoid confrontational situations and you should dodge a few bullets. On the other hand, this month can be inspirational and provide you with great spiritual insight, if you are capable of taking some distance;
- The Snakes can achieve quite a bit this month. You can advance at work, and it could be a good time for job interviews or otherwise to develop your activities. You must however make the efforts of putting yourself in other people shoes, as you could otherwise end up in a corner if you don’t get their point of view. The month is a bit “dry” for love life, so if you are looking for a new partner be patient. If you have met someone during the Rooster month, then focus on strengthening the relationship between the two of you;
- The Horses can have a great time this month. It is the ideal period to network, focus on social life, but also advertise for your business and generally communicate. You have higher chances to be heard and to impress people during the Dog month. Still, you must remember to not be cocky and stay humble, as some naysayers will most likely challenge you a bit. Just shine and smile…For your relationship, if you are single, now can be a good time to go out and socialise;
- The Goats are also experiencing a bit of a difficult month. Like the other earth signs, you have to be extra careful in what you say, do and in general it is not an ideal time to take life changing decisions, sign contracts etc. if it can be avoided. There is electricity in the air for you and so you better avoid conflicting situations. Be mindful of your joins as well and if you exercise, take your time and warm up. Next month will work better for you, Goats/Sheep/Rams;
- The Monkeys can shine socially and be noticed this month. This time could work well for single ladies, and generally for any Monkey which want to have a good social life. Be aware however that you might have to face a certain amount of stubborn people and would better avoid the trap of political talks, for example. Still, you’ll find more like-minded people than enemies this month;
- The Roosters are having a better time than last month, which saw a return of their own sign, always difficult if your life is not in order. It could actually be one of your most interesting month. You are the link between the energy of the year (Monkey sign) and the energy of this month (Dog sign). It means that you should be highly in demand for your social life, but also with your work. You are seen at this time as wise and skilled; it is ideal to advance your career, and to network.
- The Dogs are like the Dragons in a difficult situation. The self-punishment exists this month for the Dog, Goat and Ox sign; and to a different extent the Dragon. So be careful with your words and action. A lot of things could backfire and so you better speak less than more at this time of the year. Avoid life-changing decisions as this month will send you into a deep introspection;
- The Pigs will experience a weird month. At first, you might feel blocked in your life during this period and will feel that things don’t go according to plan; especially with your professional projects. However, blockages arise to allow you find a better way to do things. If you approach those situations with humility this month, you shall be able to think out of the box. If you are a single Pig lady (such as miss Piggy, as apparently she is not dating Kermit anymore), this month could be your chance to meet someone nice but you’ll have to see beyond the appearances.

- For the Yang Wood (Jia), it’s a dry month. You are likely to deal with stubborn people and work hard for your money. No pain, no gain is the motto here. The next month will be more auspicious by providing you some much needed Water Element, so take it easy for now.
- For the Yin Wood (Yi), it is also a tricky month. The good news is that you should be able to make money, and work and income are easier for you than for the Jia people. Be careful however with your lifestyle and know your limits. You can also be under unfair attacks to your reputation; try to not engage with those to have a good month.
- For the Yang Fire (Bing), the month is likely to work well by providing you an ideal energy to be heard, communicate well and make money. You can achieve quite a lot at this time, despite some competition; use your ability to convince and impress people and you could see interesting partnership forming. Your love life should also be good at this time;
- For the Yin Fire (Ding), the month is more competitive and difficult. You have too much to do and not enough time, plus pressure on your shoulder. You know that you will be judged on your capacity to answer to this stress and shall therefore make sure you perform at this time. Your love life could get a bit complicated so prioritise honesty and simplicity, whenever possible.
- For the Yang Earth (Wu), it is a difficult month. Yang Earth vs Yang Earth vs Yang Earth…an Earth Dog month is simply blocking you. You are not sure of which direction taking and feel paralysed. Best is to wait to take big decisions. Nothing seems to work in the way you want at this time and the best course of action would actually to not take any whenever possible…
- The Yin Earth (Zi) are in a different situation. While an Earth month can also mean blockage for you, there is something special for you in this Dog month inside a Monkey year that will make it work. You’ll be surprised by your productivity and capacity of achieving a lot. You can gather and mobilise people right now; make good use of it.
- The Yang Metal (Geng) could get tangled into tedious talks and endless arguments. If however you see every opportunity to argue as one to display your wisdom and take some distance, you’ll be able to return the situations and avoid the pitfall of this month. If you work for yourself, expect demanding clients this month. You could actually be noticed socially so go out.
- The Yin Metal (Xin) are not in a good place at this time. You have little freedom of action and must go where you are told, and do what you are asked if you want things to go smoothly. Now is not a time for arguments, which would surely backfire. You could at time feel that the whole world is against you and that you are close to a burnout; it is simply a question of point of view and adapting yourself to the circumstances. - The Yang Water (Ren) could feel blocked at this time. The strong Earth energy is definitely blocking you and you can expect people to often disagree with your views. You better stay away from political Facebook forums at the time! Nevertheless, like for the Pig sign, it can be a great month to think out of the box and to find a way to do things differently whenever you experience blockage or witness some opposition. - The Yin Water (Gui) could experience one of the most transformative month of the year. If you are ready, spiritual breakthrough will come to you in many forms.
