And now for your free Feng Shui luck boost for January 2017; technically the last month of the Chinese year, not the first…The Yin Metal Ox month starts on the 5th of January 2017 in the solar calendar. January 2017 flying Stars and Qimen Dun Jia.

This month by combining the annual and monthly Flying Stars, we find that: Southeast, South, Southwest and Northwest are the best sectors. The monthly 8 Flying star that is linked to prosperity is this month in the Southeast sector. The negative 5 yellow is in the North this time, which should not be activated.

By then adding the monthly Qimen plate, we find that likewise Southeast, South and Southwest are rather good sectors. North also has a good “door” but with the 5 yellow it’s not possible. For the Qimen, no sector stands out however. In the diagram below, the left top corner represents the annual flying stars. The bottom right represents the monthly ones. Blue = good sector. Red= inauspicious.

The dilemma is then to find an activation early on during the month, and to make it easier I try to choose one on weekend. Ideally this activation should combine the good sectors of the month, day and time. Realistically, the planets are rarely aligned to satisfy all those conditions. We can therefore us hourly structures only. As long as the day is not negative itself, then we still get the benefits from this activation. The difference is that it is shorter in time then one combining it all.

And so here it is…

Saturday the 7th of January

Activation in Southeast

15h to 17h/3 pm to 5 pm

ALWAYS take your local time. We are now in winter and do not have the DST problem anymore in the Northern hemisphere. However, if you live in the Southern hemisphere and have now entered the DST/daylight saving era. Use instead the following hours: 14h to 16h/2 pm to 4pm.

How to do the Feng Shui & Qimen activation?

Put your fan or water feature in the Southeast sector of your home, or business premises. On the 7th of January, start it at 15h or between 15h and 15h30 (Northern hemisphere). Then stop the fan or water fountain after 17h.

This month activation will help with paperwork and career advancements. It can also boost a bit your money situation by tapping into the 8 monthly flying star.

As a reminder for some important rules:

  • The activations are done with a small fan in movement or a small indoor water fountain. If using a fan, combine it with a bowl of water (careful with the water and safety hazard).
  • Either shall be fairly active in the movement but not too noisy.
  • No need to activate another way.
  • Finally we are not talking about FACING the direction with the feature but rather having the feature inside the room located in this sector.

Feng Shui: finding the centre, sectors and direction at home.

Let’s say we do this in an apartment located in London and you want to start experiencing Feng Shui with this method before you hire me for your consultation (I have put some subliminal messages on this article). Look at the layout on the floor plan: find the centre of the flat. Go there with your compass. The compass indicates that the Southeast direction and sector is in the bathroom. So you’ll use a fan or water feature in this room on the 7th of January 2017 at the time listed – not before, not after. Of course this is an example and your flat layout might differ in term of rooms placement and directions.
